Hello PLASTIC – Het Nieuwe Instituut – October 23rd 2014

On October 23rd, 2014, I will be part of a panel of presentations and discussion, during the event titled “Hello PLASTIC“, at Het Nieuwe Instituut, in Rotterdam (20.00-22.00).

Hello PLASTIC’ is the kick-off event for the exhibition ‘PLASTIC, Promises of a home-made future’ , on display at Het Nieuwe Instituut from 16 January to 5 April 2015. ‘PLASTIC’ is part of a series about materials and their economic, cultural and social importance. The project shows how the pursuit of innovation is accompanied by conflicting interests.

The evening’s speakers include Susan Freinkel, author of the revealing book ‘Plastic, A Toxic Love Story‘, as well as designers and researchers such as Maurizio Montalti, Perpetual Plastic Project and Tal Erez.
